
Although it is not a sacrament, the Quinceanera Ceremony is best celebrated within the context of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Therefore the celebration ceremony must conform to the rubrics of the Catholic Church and the policies and guidelines of the Diocese of Tucson and Holy Family Church.
QUINCEANERA REQUIREMENTS
Your family must be registered and participating in a parish. "Participating" means that you attend Mass every Sunday and are active in the life of the parish.
The Quinceanera must have received the Sacraments of Baptism and First Communion.
The Quinceanera must be Confirmed or actively preparing for Confirmation.
The Quinceanera must show CONSISTENT attendance in some form of religious education classes for the two consecutive years PRIOR to the date of the Quinceanera. Acceptable classes are: CCD or Youth Group.
In addition, the Quinceanera must consistently participate in Youth Group or catechism classes during the preparation for her Quiceanera.
School aged children within the family must also show attendance in religious education for the two years prior to the Quinceanera date.
STOLE FEES
Fee is currently under consideration.
Your quinceanera date and time cannot be set until the pastor has approved your application. An interview may be required.
